Watertown woman referred to Drug Court for felony aggravated DWI plea

A Watertown woman was referred to Jefferson County Drug Court after pleading guilty Thursday in County Court to felony aggravated driving while intoxicated.

Amanda J. Arriola, 32, of 1212 Superior St., Apt. 4, admitted that she drove while intoxicated Oct. 13 in the 100 block of Arsenal Street. The charge was a felony because she was convicted of DWI following an arrest Sept. 13, 2007, in the city.

Also referred to the substance abuse rehabilitation program that serves as an alternative to incarceration are:

Kevin A. Heath, 51, of 564 Pearl St., who pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and admitted violating probation. He had been charged in a grand jury indictment unsealed in court in November with selling cocaine twice on a late July day and once in early August.

At the time, he was serving five years’ probation imposed for a Jan. 3, 2011, guilty plea to third-degree attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance in which he admitted trying to possess cocaine with the intent to sell the drug in August 2010 in Watertown. He violated probation by being convicted of the new crime.

Matthew A. Rebb, 25, Natural Bridge, who admitted violating probation. He had been sentenced in February to five years’ probation for December 2010 guilty pleas to first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and misdemeanor DWI, admitting he drove while intoxicated in March 2010 in Evans Mills while his driver’s license was suspended or revoked for a prior alcohol-related offense. Information about what led to the probation violation was not available from the court.

Jenna M. Sharlow, 21, Chaumont, who pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Further information about the charge was not available.
