Assemblyman Will Barclay has been appointed deputy minority leader in his conference.
Mr. Barclay, a Republican from Pulaski, may move into Jefferson County after this round of redistricting. He's no stranger to politics in our neck of the north country. He ran for state Senate in 2008, losing to Darrel Aubertine.
The title brings Mr. Barclay a bit further up the leadership chart, seen here. Assemblyman Brian Kolb is the top Republican in the chamber.
