A town of Philadelphia man has been indicted on an allegation that he had sexual intercourse with a woman against her will in August.
William S. Paluzzi, 21, is charged with first-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child. The charges were contained in a grand jury indictment handed up Wednesday in Jefferson County Court.
It is alleged that on Aug. 4, he engaged in intercourse with a 23-year-old female by forcible compulsion at her town of Theresa residence. It is alleged that the act occurred in the close proximity of a nearly 2-year-old boy.
Others indicted:
Saidah A. Cowan, 31, Oswegatchie, is charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child as a passenger, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, endangering the welfare of a child, driving across hazard markings and operating a motor vehicle with a child not restrained in a safety seat. It is alleged that on Dec. 23, 2010, she drove while intoxicated on Bridge Street in West Carthage with her 2-year-old daughter, who was not in a car seat, as a passenger.
Alberto A. Mattar, 31, Wappingers Falls, faces counts of first-degree criminal possession of marijuana and fourth-degree conspiracy. It is alleged that he possessed about 31 pounds of marijuana during a June 30 traffic stop on Route 411 in the town of Theresa and that he conspired with others to transport the drug.
Anthony D. Joseph, 33, is charged with third- and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged that he possessed cocaine in early July in Watertown.
