WATSON — Lewis County sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday charged Tiffany V. Thompson, 30, of 5263 Dayan St., Apt. 5, Lowville, with petit larceny and unlawful possession of marijuana.

She was arraigned in Watson Town Court and sent to Lewis County jail, Lowville, on $250 bail.

Ms. Thompson was accused of stealing $900 on Jan. 4 from a residence on Wetmore Road in the town of Watson. Deputies said they found a small amount of marijuana in her possession when they arrested her.

Deputies also charged Charles D. King, 47, of 771 West End Ave., Carthage, with obstruction of governmental administration for allegedly lying to police and interfering with the arrest of Ms. Thompson. He is to answer the charge in Lowville Village Court.
