Amanda M. McGregor, John R. Wood

Mark and Donna McGregor, Watertown, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda M. McGregor, West Chester, Pa., to John R. Wood, also of West Chester.

Miss McGregor is a 2003 graduate of General Brown Central School, Dexter, and a 2007 graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, where she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She graduated from West Chester University in 2011 with a master’s degree in social work and is a licensed social worker employed as a counselor and hot line coordinator for the Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County, Media, Pa.

Mr. Wood is the son of the late Richard E. and Carol M. Wood. He is a 2003 graduate of Berkeley Preparatory School, Tampa, Fla. He graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2007 with a bachelor of arts degree in classics and history and a bachelor of science degree in geography. He is an income maintenance case worker for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Chester, Pa.

An Oct. 13 wedding is planned.
