FORT COVINGTON Adam Bomberry scored two goals to help lead the Salmon River hockey team to a 3-1 win over Potsdam in a Northern Athletic Conference interdivision game on Wednesday.
The loss for Potsdam (10-6-2 overall, 6-2-2 division) clinched the Division I championship for Massena.
Kyle Lewis also scored for Salmon River (12-2-1, 9-2) and Robbie Scott scored for Potsdam.
ISLANDERS 4, CANTON 2
Ethan Whitton and Caleb Wills each scored goals in the third period as the Islanders (6-10, 4-6) pulled away from the Bears in a Division I game in Canton.
Whitton and Tony Boboskie each scored for the Islanders in the second period. Tanner Sanderson and Matt Mende scored for Canton (2-12-3, 1-6-2).
ST. LAWRENCE 4, MALONE 0
Kody Koscis scored twice with an assist as St. Lawrence Central blanked the Huskies (1-15, 1-10) in a Division II game in Malone.
Devon Euto and Ian Lynch also scored for the Larries (8-6-1, 4-6-1). Nate McLaughlin made 16 saves for the shutout.
NORWOOD-NORFOLK 6, TUPPER LAKE 1
Troy Kovach scored one goal and assisted on three others to lead the Flyers (8-7-2, 6-6-1) past Tupper Lake in a Division II game in Norfolk.
Jacob Mayette scored two goals for the Flyers. Cody Smith, Josh Tiernan and Zeb Brown also scored. Matt Corrow scored for Tupper Lake (1-15, 1-9).
GIRLS BASKETBALL
CHATEAUGAY 50, MADRID-WADDINGTON 36
The Bulldogs (13-3, 9-1) raced out to a 19-6 lead after one quarter and cruised past Madrid-Waddington in an East Division game in Chateaugay.
Courtney Boyea led Chateaugay with 25 points. Shelby Gausby paced the Yellow Jackets (9-4, 6-2) with 11 points.
PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 45, COLTON-PIERREPONT 19
Natalie Remington and Jena Jacot each scored 10 points for the Panthers (4-9, 3-6) in an East Division victory over Colton-Pierrepont in Parishville. Morgan Doyle led the Colts (2-13, 2-7) with 15 points.
HAMMOND 62, LISBON 29
Alyssa Crosby scored as many points as Lisbon, leading the Red Devils (13-2, 9-1) to a West Division win in Hammond.
Courtney Bova added 13 points for Hammond. Allison Akins led Lisbon (4-10, 0-8) with 10 points.
HEUVELTON 48, CLIFTON-FINe 46
Emilie Ross scored 14 points and Maddie St. Pierre added 11 as the Bulldogs (9-6, 4-5) edged Clifton-Fine in a West Division contest in Heuvelton. Hunter Hitchman tallied 31 points for the Eagles (10-4, 3-4).
BOYS BASKETBALL
POTSDAM 67, CANTON 36
Konnor Bigwarfe tallied 21 points for Potsdam (13-2) in a victory against the Golden Bears in a nonleague contest in Canton. Mike Chambers scored 16 points and Josh Adams produced 12 for the Sandstoners. Pat McGraw and Nick Archibald each scored eight points to lead Canton (6-9).
BRUSHTON-MOIRA 67, GOUVERNEUR 24
Adam Martin led the Panthers (6-8) with 15 points in a nonleague win over Gouverneur in Brushton.
Devan Mills added 14 points for the Panthers. Mark Horne led Gouverneur (3-11) with eight points.
MADRID-WADDINGTON 63, COLTON-PIERREPONT 38
Alex Brock scored 21 points and snagged nine rebounds to lead the Yellow Jackets (13-1, 8-1) past Colton-Pierrepont in an East Division contest in Madrid.
Brent Hoyt led the Colts (4-10, 1-8) with 18 points and Alex Bonno tossed in 16.
ST. REGIS FALLS 54, TUPPER LAKE 49
Caleb Greens 19-point effort sent St. Regis Falls (8-7, 5-4) past the Lumberjacks in an East Division game in Tupper Lake.
Tim Wheeler added 11 points for the Saints. Josh Garrow topped the Lumberjacks (5-10, 3-6) with 16 points and Mitch Keniston produced 13.
WRESTLING
CANTON 47, MALONE 15
Jon Fetchie (106 pounds) and Adam Widener (220) won by pin as Canton (4-4) defeated the Huskies in Malone. Tehatakenta Boots (285) won by pin for the Huskies (2-7).
MASSENA 63, CLIFTON-FINE 24
After falling behind early the Red Raiders (5-4) finished strong to win a meet against Clifton-Fine in Massena.
Dan Elman (138 pounds), Nolan Terrance (185) and Isaiah Perry (132) won by pin for Massena. Clifton-Fine (0-6) received pins from Jacob Demmon (152) and Carl Twyman (160).
GOUVERNEUR 57, OFA 12
Curtis Fullers win in the 152-pound weight class highlighted the Wildcats victory over the Blue Devils at Gouverneur.
Fuller defeated Alex Cole, 18-14, avenging a loss by pinfall to Cole earlier in the season.
Brayden Wood (285 pounds), Kyle Bigwarfe (182), Brenden Ward (160), Zachary Ayen (132) and Dillon Stowell (126) each won by pinfall for Gouverneur (14-5, 9-0).
Bailey Phelps recorded a pin for Ogdensburg Free Academy (4-3).
