DWI - POTSDAM - Village police charged Jody C. Wenzel, 34, of Potsdam with aggravated driving while intoxicated after they responded to a property damage accident at 10:53 p.m. Friday on Elm Street. Police said Wenzel's vehicle went off the roadway and struck a street sign. He was also charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed for failure to keep right on a two-lane road.
UNLAWFUL POSSESSION MARIJUANA - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Kyle W. Hohmann, 20, of Rochester for operation of a vehicle with inadequate headlights following a traffic stop at 12:39 a.m. Friday on Cedar Street. Further investigation revealed that he was in possession of a small amount of marijuana, and he was issued an appearance ticket for unlawful possession of marijuana.
PUBLIC URINATION - POTSDAM - Village police charged John C. Dugan II, 19, of Vermont, with public urination following an incident at 1:20 a.m. Friday on Raymond Street.
SPEEDING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Peggy S. Aidun of Potsdam for speed in zone (43/30) following a traffic stop at 8:59 a.m. Friday on Lawrence Avenue.
NO SEATBELT - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed John S. Pinto, 21, of Rouses Point for failure to wear a seatbelt followig a traffic stop at 2:40 p.m. Friday on Elm Street.

1305 Patrol completed fingerprints for an individual requesting Air Force security clearance.
1332 Complainant reports that there is a vehicle parked in the roadway blocking his driveway. Patrol dispatched. Unable to locate the operator of the vehicle. Martin's Service Station was contacted to remove vehicle.
1340 Traffic stop. Ticket issued.
Patrol observed a vehicle traveling north on Park Street with the operator not wearing a seat belt. A traffic stop was completed on Elm Street and the operator, John S. Pinto, age 21 of Rouses Point, was issued a traffic summons for VTL 1229-C3A, returnable in Potsdam Village Court on 2/15/2012 at 0800.
1522 Potsdam Police were requested to verify a Vehicle Identification Number on a snowmobile for purposes of registering the snowmobile. Patrol was unable to verify as the information was not clear enough to confirm.
1616 A record check was completed for Potsdam Housing Authority on an individual being considered for housing.
