NEW BREMEN — Two teens were charged Wednesday with huffing a can of cleaning spray and providing the can to a minor at a town of New Bremen residence.

Lewis County sheriff’s deputies charged Zachary E. Lyndaker, 19, of 7713 Wagner Road, and Joshua L. Mellnitz, 18, of 6952 Wetmore Road, Glenfield, with illegal use of toxic vapors and endangering the welfare of a child, answerable in New Bremen Town Court.

Deputies said they were called Sunday night to a Wagner Road residence for a highly intoxicated 14-year-old who had inhaled vapors from a spray can. They allege that Mr. Lyndaker and Mr. Mellnitz provide the can and inhaled vapors from it themselves.
