Canton Woman Charged With DWI Following Market Street Stop

DWI - POTSDAM - St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Department deputies charged Mara E. Wilson, 23, of 26 State St., Canton, with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop at 1:43 a.m. Sunday on Market Street in the village of Potsdam. Deputies said Wilson was pulled over for a stop sign violation and found to be intoxicated. She reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.17 percent. Wilson was released on an appearance ticket for Potsdam Village Court. An alcohol content of 0.08 or higher constitutes a driving while intoxicated offense in New York state.
