Meeting scheduled in Postdam on farm bill

POTSDAM — Rep. William L. Owens, D-Plattsburgh, and the League of Women Voters will host a forum from 11 a.m. to noon Feb. 25 in Cheel Campus Center, Clarkson University, for the public to talk about the next farm bill, which Congress is scheduled to take up this year.

“I believe it is important to hear firsthand from constituents representing local agriculture interests,” Mr. Owens said in a statement. “Our region is home to a diverse agricultural community and it is critical that the next farm bill include support for those industries.”
