SACKETS HARBOR — State police on Monday charged a town of Hounsfield man with two misdemeanors for allegedly injuring his 5-year-old son while disciplining the child.

Bryon L. Holmes, 36, of 16628 Parker Road, is summoned to town of Hounsfield Court to face charges of third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police said the boy was dropped on the bathroom floor while being punished Saturday, and suffered bruises on the back of his head. The child also had face bruises because of the punishment, police said.
