Country star Blake Shelton can be seen on the current cover of Rolling Stone magazine, but in July he will be seen and heard at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds for an outdoor concert.

The Disabled Persons Action Organization has booked Mr. Shelton for a 7 p.m. July 6 concert as part of its 2012 Summer Concert Series.

Ticket prices are $75 for reserved and $49 general admission. DPAO will announce later when they will go on sale.

Mr. Shelton’s hits include “Austin,” “The Baby,” “Home” and “Hillbilly Bone.” The first single from his latest CD, “Honey Bee,” rose to number one on the country singles charts last year.

He joins Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green as judges on NBC’s talent show “The Voice.” He has been nominated as entertainer of the year by the Academy of Country Music Awards, which will be presented in April.

The opening act for the DPAO concert will be Justin Moore.
