New-look Privateers dump Outlaws at home

ALEXANDRIA BAY — Britt Ouellette and Paul Kelly each scored in the first period for revamped Thousand Islands in a 3-1 win over Federal Hockey League leader New Jersey at the Bonnie Castle Arena on Thursday.

Adam McAllister added the third score for the Privateers (29-9-2), now being coached by Kelly after most of the team quit last week. New goalie Peter Dundovich debuted with a 47-save effort against 48 shots for Thousand Islands.

Travis Kauffeldt scored for New Jersey (33-7-0).
