Lowville dumps South Jeff in Section 3 volleyball

LOWVILLE — Haley Zicari served for 18 points and added 16 assists and four aces as Lowville defeated South Jefferson 25-19, 25-19, 25-12 in a Section 3 Class B quarterfinal match on Thursday.

It was the fourth time the two Frontier League teams had faced each other this season. Lowville won all four matches.

Ashley Capone supplied 19 kills and three blocks for the Red Raiders (16-1). Nicole Roggie finished with 15 assists and Olivia Hanno added 16 digs.

Lowville’s next match is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday against an undetermined opponent.

For South Jefferson (12-7), Alex Mooney delivered eight kills and Brook Laisdell registered four kills and five blocks. Kerri Keegan added nine digs.
