Motorists charged with DWI

The following were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

■ Patrick M. Cummings, 34, Turin, was charged by Lewis County sheriff’s deputies with aggravated DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to keep right and refusal to take a roadside breath test at 12:11 a.m. Friday on Payne Road in the town of West Turin.

Deputies said they took Mr. Cummings to the Lewis County Public Safety Building, Lowville, and he had a blood alcohol content of 0.20 percent. A BAC of 0.08 percent or higher constitutes intoxication, while the state threshold for aggravated DWI is 0.18 percent.

■ Jacklyn A. Hardy, 32, of 6653 Number Four Road, Lowville, also was charged by Lewis County sheriff’s deputies with operating a vehicle without valid insurance and with a suspended registration and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

She had a BAC of 0.12 percent, deputies said.
