John C. Higby, 82, Constableville

CONSTABLEVILLE - John C. Higby, 82, a native and lifelong resident of Crofoot Hill Road, died Saturday after a brief illness at Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville.

His services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Trainor Funeral Home Inc., 143 Schuyler St., Boonville, where the Rev. Billie Jean Melton, pastor of the South Lewis Parish of United Methodist Churches will officiate. Interment will be in Rural Cemetery, Constableville. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to Turin Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, or to Constableville Fire Co. Ambulance, or to Constableville United Methodist Church.
