Watertown man accused of assault

Watertown police at 1:26 a.m. Saturday charged Joel A. Pillon, 44, of 644 Emerson St., lower apartment, with second-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

He is accused of breaking a glass table belonging to Patrick M. Town, who also lives in the apartment building, over Mr. Town’s head, causing several lacerations to his head, neck and hands. The table was valued at more than $100.

Taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Mr. Pillon was processed and held pending arraignment in Watertown Town Court.
