■ CARTHAGE — The Carthage Chamber of Commerce will be presented with $2,000 from the Economic Development Corp. of Carthage. The chamber is accepting ideas for how the money should be spent. Suggestions may be emailed to carthagechamber@centralny.twcbc.com.

■ COPENHAGEN — Lewis County Office for the Aging will hold a “heart healthy month” event at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the United Church of Copenhagen, Main Street, the senior meal site. Blood pressure screenings and nutrition notes on chocolate will be offered. Attendees are asked to wear red or pink.

■ The St. Lawrence Waterfowlers Club is seeking several students to sponsor for this year’s Department of Environmental Conservation summer camps. Interested children up to age 17 are encouraged to apply by contacting the club’s vice president, Dan Skamperle, at 393-4597.
