When Jared D. LaDue, 19, of 238 Coffeen St., reported a burglary Monday afternoon, he enabled officers to find three marijuana plants in his apartment, according to Watertown police.
Mr. LaDue was cited with growing marijuana without a license, a misdemeanor under state public health law, and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Police said an officer smelled marijuana while in the apartment, and discovered the plants in buckets in a back-room closet.
Undisclosed items were stolen in the apartment burglary, police said.
