CANTON Katie Edgerton scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the St. Lawrence University womens basketball team to a 56-47 win over Skidmore College in a Liberty League game Tuesday night.
The Saints (20-4 overall, 16-0 conference) concluded Liberty League play undefeated and will host a conference tournament semifinal next Wednesday.
Christina Gargiso led Skidmore (14-9, 7-7) with 13 points.
SUNY POTSDAM 57, SUNY ONEONTA 51
Katy Briedis scored 17 points and Bailey Weigel added 14 to lead the Bears (5-18, 3-13) to an upset of first-place SUNY Oneonta in a SUNYAC game in Potsdam. Samantha Szkotak led SUNY Oneonta (16-7, 14-3) with 16 points.
MENS BASKETBALL
SKIDMORE 76, ST. LAWRENCE 75
Brian Lowry scored 20 points to lead Skidmore (15-8, 9-5) past the Saints in a Liberty League contest in Canton. Connor Merrill scored 14 points. Terron Victoria tallied 12 and Melvis Langyintuo tossed in 11 for Skidmore.
Ralph Temgoua led SLU (14-10, 10-6) with 22 points. Terry Parham scored 19 points and Garrett Sharlow added 15 for the Saints.
SUNY ONEONTA 71, SUNY POTSDAM 57
Frankie Kellys 21-point effort send the Red Dragons (3-21, 2-15) past SUNY Potsdam in a SUNYAC game in Oneonta.
Dan Lee scored 12 points and Alby Skrelji added 10 for SUNY Oneonta. Curtis Pierce led the Bears (5-18, 3-13) with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
