St. Lawrence’s Carey, Weninger win ECAC weekly award

CANTON — St. Lawrence University picked up two individual weekly honors from ECAC Hockey after the Saints swept Quinnipiac and Princeton last weekend at Appleton Arena.

Sophomore Greg Carey was named the league’s player of the week. He provided two goals against Quinnipiac and a goal and an assist against Princeton.

SLU’s Matt Weninger was honored as goaltender of the week. He stopped all 17 of opponents’ power-play opportunities, making 22 saves on the power play over the weekend. He posted a .937 save percentage.
