BEAVER FALLS Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville, has added a second general surgeon at the clinic here.
Dr. Vu Dinh will maintain an office at Beaver River Family Health Center, 9559 Main St., joining fellow surgeon Dr. David F. Rosner, according to a release from the county-owned hospital.
Dr. Dinh is a very welcome addition to our medical community, hospital CEO Eric R. Burch said in a statement. He brings tremendous skills and experience to our surgical staff.
Dr. Dinh completed his medical degree at the Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, Calif., and did residencies in general surgery at Henry Ford Bi-County Hospital in Warren, Mich., and St. John Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway. He is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
He specializes in laparoscopic surgery, which allows shorter recovery time for patients.
Dr. Dinh also offers inpatient and outpatient procedures, including colonoscopies and upper endoscopies, removal of lumps, bumps and moles, appendectomies, breast surgery, circumcision, gallbladder surgery, hemorrhoidectomies, hernia repair and lymph node biopsies.
According to hospital officials, the new doctor is fluent in four languages: English, Spanish, Latin and Vietnamese.
