Former Watertown High School runner Dylan Hardwick was named the SUNYAC men’s indoor track athlete of the week for the week ending Sunday.

Hardwick finished second for SUNY Oswego in the 5,000-meter run on Feb. 11 at the Cornell Kane Invitational, setting a program record in 15 minutes, 9.78 seconds. His time, which also qualified him for the ECAC Championships, broke the record set by Jeffrey Beck in 2003 by almost nine seconds.

Hardwick, a senior, also competed on the 3,200 relay that finished third for the Lakers in 8:10.04.
