Honored: Dr. Manoj Vora and his staff at Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville, were recently honored with a plaque from the Tobacco Cessation Center of Northern New York. The plaque, presented by Joel Schuyler, tobacco cessation specialist, was given for efforts over the past several years in the treatment of tobacco dependence.

Milestone: Roberta Foster, registered nurse and nurse manager at the Country Manor Nursing and Rehab Centre, Carthage, recently completed the Foundation for Quality Care’s First Line Nurse Manager Program. The program, part of the Long Term Care Leadership Institute, is for nurses in middle management roles aspiring to become leaders in the long-term-care profession.
