LOWVILLE — A former Lewis County legislator on Tuesday finally received documents requested last May, four days after the court-ordered deadline.

Bruce R. Krug confirmed the requested documents were hand-delivered late Tuesday afternoon.

In a ruling filed Feb. 2, Supreme Court Judge Hugh A. Gilbert said the county had withheld public documents improperly from Mr. Krug and ordered them to be provided by Friday.

However, County Attorney Richard J. Graham, the county’s records officer, did not meet that deadline.

The Freedom of Information request included a list of businesses delinquent on hotel occupancy tax, documentation of county action to collect the money, a copy of a permit issued for a “special event” for all-terrain vehicles, amounts of trail permit fees collected by the county and documents indicating funding for the trails program.
