■ WEST CARTHAGE — Village Court is one of 400 courts to receive an $8,800 state grant. The money will be used to buy new computers, help repair the roof on the courthouse/police station and install security cameras in the building.

■ OGDENSBURG — Knights of Columbus Council 258 will hold a fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. today at the clubhouse, 721 Hasbrouck St. The cost is $9 for the all-you-can-eat buffet. Desserts made by the ladies auxiliary are $1 each, and there is a cash bar.

■ OGDENSBURG — Saturday’s sixth annual Polar Bear Plunge in the St. Lawrence River here drew 17 contestants who raised $4,348.21 in pledges. The pledge total will be divided evenly between the chamber and the Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad.
