Ogdensburg native Jamie Luckie will officiate his third consecutive NCAA Men’s Final Four this weekend in New Orleans.
Luckie is one of 10 NCAA game officials approved by national coordinator of officiating, John Adams, to work Saturday’s two national semifinals (Kentucky vs. Louisville, Kansas-Ohio State) and Monday’s national championship game at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Officials will be notified Saturday morning which games they will work. Three-man crews will officiate each game, while one official will serve as the standby official for all three games.
Luckie, who lives in Charlotte, N.C., works mainly the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Big East Conference during the season. A former soccer goalie at SUNY Potsdam who played basketball for ex-NBA coach and current USC coach Kevin O’Neill at North Country Community College, Luckie began his officiating career in 1983.
