A group of 18 businesses and business-related organizations in the St. Lawrence River community have joined area environmentalists in supporting water level Plan BV7.
According to a Save the River news release, the group sent a letter to the International Joint Commission urging it to adopt the proposed environmentally friendly water regulation plan for Lake Ontario and the river.
The letter was signed by the Clayton Fishing Guides Association, Northern Marine Inc., RJ Marine, Sign Man Charters and Classic Island Tours, Clayton; Chalks Marina & Boat Sales, Fishers Landing; Chaumont Yacht Club and Paul Norton Canvas, Chaumont; Coyote Vision, Pittsford; Gamble Distributors, Carthage; Garlocks Ace Hardware & Building Supplies, Uncle Sam Boat Tours, Vans Motor Marine Inc. and the Ship Motel, Alexandria Bay; Martins Marina & Motel, Cape Vincent; Schermerhorn Harbor, Hammond; Wrights Marina, Morristown, and London and District Labour Council, London, Ontario.
