LYONS FALLS — Heleva affectionately known as “Bea” Bartelotte, 88, a long time resident of Franklin St., passed away Saturday May 12, 2012, at Lewis Co. General Hospital, Lowville, after a short illness.

She was born in McKeever, on March 25, 1924, a daughter of Charles and Lamoine Hyers Fuller. She attended school at Gouldtown, later completing her education at Port Leyden Central School. On October 28, 1942, she married John Bartelotte of Thendara, NY. After their marriage they lived in Gouldtown, where they raised their family. Later the couple was divorced and Bea moved to her present home in Lyons Falls.

She loved poetry, and was an accomplished writer of poems and for many years she published her poems in the Boonville Herald. Over the years she had received 25 Gold Poet awards and 43 Merit Poetry awards. Bea also wrote the lyrics for the song “His Holy Hands,” which was played in every country around the world by the International Music Program.

Bea attended Lyons Falls Bible Fellowship Church. She greatly enjoyed crafts.

Bea was a loving mother and grandmother, with a giving heart, whether providing little gifts for birthdays, sitting with an elderly person, or providing for her family.

She is survived by her children: Maurice J. (Mary) Bartelotte, Myrtle Beach, SC, Jeanne M. (Willie) McDougall, Gouldtown, Richard L. (Angela) Bartelotte, Port Leyden, John M. (Trisha) Bartelotte, Santa Maria, CA; seven grandchildren, Michael, Kevin, Teresa, Keith, Noelle, Timothy and Brooks, six great grandchildren, one brother, Richard (Cecelia) Fuller, Lowville. A brother, Charles died as an infant.

Her Funeral will be Monday at 10:00 A.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where Pastor Jeffrey Ford, pastor of Lyons Falls Bible Fellowship Church will officiate. Interment will be in Wild Wood Cemetery, Lyons Falls. Visitation hours are Sunday (Today) 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lyons Falls Bible Fellowship Church.
