The calling hours for Erin K. Foley, 18 of 727 Lawrence Street Watertown will be on Saturday from 1-4 p.m. at TLC Funeral Home, Inc. The funeral will be private. Erin died in Watertown on May 15th as a result of a suicide due to bullying. Erin was born in Watertown on March 7, 1994 to Paul J. and Robin M. Gardner Foley. She was a senior at Watertown High School and had been accepted at Jefferson Community College in the Childhood Development Program. Erin had many passions that included her love and appreciation for animals and the environment, she enjoyed reading, canoeing, watching television series, the Beatles and alternative music. She was a member of a book club, the spanish club and enjoyed making oriental food and had a special appreciation for the oriental culture. She loved art and to draw, camping and kayaking. She is survived by her parents, Paul J. Foley of Watertown and Robin Foley and her companion Tony Farone of Watertown, her paternal grandparents J. Peter and Renee Foley of Hamburg, NY, her brother, Adam Foley of Watertown, and her sister and her companion, Jessica Jess Ramsdell and Jason Babel of Lacona, NY and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Also surviving are Erins four cats, Rocky, Specks, Sparks and Little Kitty.
Predeceased are her maternal grandparents, Theodore and Beverly Gardner. The family is requesting that donations be made in her name to the Central NY Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, P.O. Box 283, Phoenix, New York 13135 or to contribute to the online site of bully.org. There will also be a Out of the Darkness Walk on September 29th at Noon at Thompson Park in her memory. Checks can be made payable to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or AFSP.
