DWI - MASSENA - A Brasher Falls man faces a driving while intoxicated count after he reportedly fell asleep while waiting for a train to complete its passage across state Route 420 in Massena.

Village police charged Kenneth B. Stark Jr., 31, of 4 Driscoll Road, Brasher Falls, with driving while intoxicated and ticketed him for an open container violation. He reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.12 percent. The legal limit for a DWI charge in New York state is a blood alcohol content of 0.12 percent.

Stark reportedly told police had had driven into Massena for a late night snack at a fast food eatery. Trains crossing at the Massena station, which straddles state Route 420, typically delays traffic for approximately 10 minutes but waits of up to 30 minutes have been documented in recent weeks.
