State Sen. Patricia A. Ritchie, R-Heuvelton, honored several north country residents as “Women of Distinction” at a ceremony Thursday in Watertown.

Women with ties to Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties are: Tammie J. Miller, director of the Fairgrounds Y; Karen A. Peebles, owner of Peebles Realty; Charlotte J. Garofalo, manager of the Gouverneur Library, and Kathleen F. Fenlon, a former Jefferson Community College administrator.
