Greene graduates

Republican Kellie Greene can focus on her June 26 primary battle with Matt Doheny now that she's finished her studies at the Fuller Theological Seminary.
Ms. Greene graduated Saturday from the institute's Phoenix satellite location with a master of arts in theology. As I've pointed out before, Ms. Greene has run a pretty unorthodox campaign; she's spent much of her time balancing campaigning with finishing her master's thesis.
Before she became a full-time student, Ms. Greene was an international business consultant. She's looking to use her new degree in one way or another, but she's not sure exactly how.
"No idea. Stay tuned," she said last week. "I have some keen interest in the ministry."
Said a news release from the Greene campaign: "She believes that it should be faith-based institutions and not government that play a primary role in meeting the needs of those in the community."
The release also says (perhaps in an effort to head off carpetbagging allegations): "She looks forward to spending the next 17 days focused on meeting with voters throughout the district."
She'll be back in the north country on Tuesday.
