PORT LEYDEN Two teens were being held Thursday morning in Lewis County jail, Lowville, as a result of their arrests by state police Wednesday night on charges of third-degree burglary.
James M. Rice, 18, of 7468 Penny Settlement Road, town of Lyonsdale, and Brad Q. Rogers, 17, of 3912 Shibley Road, Lyons Falls, are accused of entering a shed May 31 on the property of Charles Belinky, 7456 Penny Settlement Road, and stealing a chain saw, police said.
Bail was set in Lowville Village Court at $500 for Mr. Rogers and at $250 for Mr. Rice.
The two were charged early in May by the Lewis County Sheriffs Department with petit larceny for allegedly stealing about 10 gallons of gasoline at the Lyons Falls Fire Department.
