Deborah L. Jeffers, 61, of 143 Stuart St., suffered chest injuries in the Thursday morning accident on Route 11 near Calcium, according to the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department.
She was flown by Life Net of New York helicopter to Upstate Medical University, Syracuse. The Syracuse hospital provided no information Friday about her status.
Ms. Jeffers was driving north at 6:55 a.m. when the passenger side of her car was struck by a pickup that was backing out of a driveway, deputies said. Her car spun around, went off the right side of the road, struck a utility pole, and was demolished.
Rescue personnel worked about 50 minutes to extricate her from the car.
The driver of the pickup, Lynne M. Wight, 49, Adams Center, told deputies she did not see the Jeffers auto. Ms. Wight was cited with failure to yield right of way upon entering the highway.
