Motorists accused of driving while intoxicated

The following were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

■ David E. Thompson Jr., 25, of 435 S. Hycliff Drive, Apt. 622-A, Watertown, also was charged by Watertown police with failure to keep right at 1:20 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of Park Drive West. He tested at 0.11 percent blood alcohol content, police said.

A BAC level of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law.

The arrest is his second DWI in Watertown. Also cited in July 2010, when his BAC was listed at 0.13 percent, he subsequently pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of driving while ability impaired by alcohol and was assessed a fine and fees amounting to $555, according to City Court.

■ Andress Martinez, 31, of 25577 James St., Calcium, was charged by state police with aggravated DWI at 2:22 a.m. Saturday on Route 11 in the town of LeRay. He also was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating an unregistered vehicle and crossing hazard markings. His BAC was listed as 0.25 percent, which exceeds the state’s 0.18 percent threshold for aggravated DWI.

■ Joel T. Hernandez, 24, of 25147 William St., Calcium, also was charged by Watertown police at 3:55 a.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of Arsenal Street with refusal to submit to a breath test. He was released to Army custody to await prosecution in City Court.

■ Timothy W. LaPlante, 25, of 25267-A Loop Road, Carthage, was charged by state police at 2:45 a.m. Thursday on Route 3 in the town of Rutland. He registered a BAC of 0.13 percent, police said.

■ Candy J. O’Donnell, 48, of 3228 County Route 2, Pulaski, was arrested at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday on Route 11 in the town of Ellisburg, where state troopers said she drove into the path of their patrol car. Her BAC was listed as 0.12 percent.

■ Leon R. Richey II, 20, Raleigh, N.C., was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 1:40 a.m. Saturday on Route 283 in the town of LeRay. His BAC was 0.13 percent, deputies said. He also was charged with driving too slowly and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

■ Rae A. Snell, 30, Potsdam, was charged by Potsdam village police at 10:24 p.m. Friday. Police said they observed her driving down Pierrepont Avenue without headlights. Her BAC was listed as 0.15 percent.

■ Darrie W. McNabb, 38, of 20368 Munns Drive, Apt. 230, Fort Drum, was charged by Watertown police with aggravated DWI and failure to yield the right of way about 5:30 p.m. Saturday following a two-car collision in the 100 block of William Street. Her BAC was 0.25 percent, police said.

■ Scott F. Ludwig, 45, of 13A Chisholm Road, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies about 1:54 a.m. Sunday on Route 11 in the town of Philadelphia.

Deputies said he also was charged with refusing to take a breath test, failure to comply with a lawful order and speeding, among other traffic violations.

■ Jared R. Cawood, 23, of 10648 Fifth Armored Division Drive, Fort Drum, was charged by state police in Watertown with speeding at about 10:27 p.m. Saturday on Route 12 in the town of Pamelia. His BAC was 0.12 percent, troopers said.

■ Randy J. Elmer, 51, of Plank Road, Copenhagen, was charged by state police in Carthage at about 4:20 p.m. Saturday on Route 47 in the town of Champion. His BAC was 0.13 percent, troopers said.

■ Georgiann E. Wilcox, 53, of 8670 Route 3, Sandy Creek, was charged by state police in Pulaski on Country Route 15 in the town of Sandy Creek. Her BAC was 0.12 percent, troopers said.

■ Jennifer M. Morris, 40, of 130 Lyon St., Oswego, was charged by state police in Fulton at about 4:38 a.m. Sunday on West Third Street in Oswego. Her BAC was 0.09 percent, police said.
