ROSSIE — Rossie resident Christopher L. Sweet, 29, was arrested at 12:30 a.m. Sunday and charged with criminal mischief.

State police responded to a call about a domestic dispute. Mr. Sweet allegedly had been arguing with his girlfriend, Jessica Smith, 27, at their home at 180 Route 12, Antwerp.

The argument escalated when Mr. Sweet allegedly repeatedly threw a bicycle into the passenger door of Ms. Smith’s car, causing more than $250 in damage, police said.

He was arraigned in Fowler Town Court and taken to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $5,000 bail.
