MASSENA - Record-setting temperatures ushered in the first day of summer on Wednesday.
The 4 p.m. temperature of 92 degrees at Massena International Airport broke the previous record of 91 set in 1953, according to John Goff, a National Weather Service meteorologist in Burlington, Vt. Factoring in humidity, the heat index, or what it feels like outside, was 100 degrees.
