Sodus: Betty Withington Gleason passed away quietly after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her parents Dewitt and Martha Cooley Withington; brothers Rev. Robert Withington, Ralph Withington; husbands Orman Ellis and William Gleason. Betty is survived by brother Dr. Lawrence Withington; children Robert (Bonnie) Ellis, Christine (Paul) Kimmerly, David (Michele) Ellis and Jeanne Avery; grandchildren Scott (Nga) Ellis, Julie (Hayward) Hutson, Casey (David) Nicol, Sarah Ellis, Holly Avery Morphy; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday June 20th, 10 a.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Main Street in Sodus. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 21st, at Union Cemetery in Adams Center, NY. Memorials c/o of the family may be sent to the funeral home, and will be earmarked for a charity of their choosing. Arrangements: Norton Funeral Home of Sodus.
