Watertown- Melody S. Recor, 52, of Lowe Rd., Chaumont passed away Monday morning at her residence under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County and her family.

She was born in Wilmington, NC November 25, 1959, a daughter to Victor and Beatrice Knight. She was educated locally. She married Jack Recor on September 3, 1977 in Watertown, NY.

Melody was a manager at Longway’s Diner for 20 years. She later worked at Ft. Drum as a budget tech. She loved golf, people, and spending time with her family.Surviving besides her husband, Jack, are a son, Kyle; a daughter, Julie; and 3 grandchildren, Nicholas, Sophia, Ella-Grace.

Calling hours will be held for the public, Thursday, June 21st from 4pm - 7pm at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. Private funeral services will be held for the family with Pastor Paul Gmitter officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Hospice of Jefferson County, or Dexter Faith Fellowship Church.
