MASSENA - The Massena Fire Station will be open from 10a.m. -6p.m. Thursday as a cooling station for anyone that is having difficulty dealing with the extreme heat.

Massena Fire Department staff will be on hand, and water will be available to keep people hydrated.

Should the need arise, medical assistance will be called in, Massena Village Police Chief Timmy J. Currier said.
