WATERTOWN — Stuart W. Walt McFall, 66, 27310 Perch Lake Rd., died at home, Tuesday, June 19th, 2012.
Born in Watertown on St. Patricks Day, March 17th, 1946, the son of Stuart & Agatha Mealus McFall. He attended Starbuck School before moving to Avon, NY in 1961. He moved back to Carthage in 1975 to be with his family. He worked for Production Unlimited until his retirement at age 60. Recently, he had been living with Carol Smith and her family; William and his best friend Flip at her family care home in Watertown for the past seven years.
Walt was a proud Irish-American Catholic who enjoyed his Tom & Jerrys from the Crystal Restaurant in Watertown. He was always a jokester who loved listening to Lawrence Welk, following Syracuse University Basketball, going out to eat, activities at the DPAO and watching NASCAR races. His favorite saying was Hit the bottle! due to his love for St. Patricks Day.
He is survived by his sister, Sherilyn Miller and her husband David, Rochester, his nephew Christopher Mundorff and his wife, Shana and their four children. Also surviving are his close friends Judy and Harriet.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 23rd at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. Burial with his parents will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Carthage. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday for two hours prior to the funeral from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. www.lundyfuneralhome.com
