BLACK RIVER — Cary W. Lane, 44, 21601 Floral Drive, Lot 7A, was charged by Jefferson County Sheriff deputies on Saturday night with fourth-degree criminal mischief, unsafe backing and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Deputies said Mr. Lane damaged a vehicle owned by John P. Arca by backing intentionally backing into it at the man’s home at 23184 Taylor Drive, Black River. He was given appearance tickets for Rutland Town Court.
