LYONSDALE A teen driver and her adult passenger suffered injuries late Sunday evening as a result of an all-terrain vehicle accident on Kosterville Road, according to a Lewis County Sheriffs Department report.
The report states the unnamed 13-year old female driver exited the south shoulder of the roadway, striking a tree. She and 30-year-old Randy J. Ossont, 7560 Lyonsdale Road, Lyons Falls, were ejected from the vehicle.
The driver was able to leave the scene and run to a nearby residence for help. She was transported by Lyons Falls Ambulance to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for unspecified, non-life-threatening injuries. Mr. Ossont was not wearing a helmet and was transported by Turin Ambulance to St. Elizabeth for treatment of a head injury.
Lyons Falls Fire Department, Turin and Port Leyden ambulances and state police assisted at the scene. An investigation is continuing.
