Zeren, Shafer, Mooney win Evans Mills races

EVANS MILLS — Five race-car drivers at Evans Mills Speedway continued to win races in their various divisions on Saturday night.

Chris Zeren won the legends race, while Scott Shafer (sport compact); Randy Mooney (trucks); Dalton Lampson (juniors) and Rick Ziegler (super stocks) won races. Other winners included Billy Matteson (thunder car); Tony Steiner (open wheel); Brittany Schroy (women’s trucks); Frank Nortz (thunder stocks) and Dan Swem (endure).

Sunday’s World of Outlaws late model series race was canceled because of rain.
