GOP obstructionists attack Obama

Jobs, jobs., jobs. Cut, cut, cut. This theme is heard daily from the GOP. Apparently, they receive a memo telling them what to say. Not from House Speaker John Boehner, rather from Tea Party leaders. Mr. Boehner is drying his tears, while Rep. Eric Cantor is leading the charge.

These white men have never gotten over a black man occupying the Oval Office. Their egos have been diminished. “He lives in our White House, jets around the world, on Air Force One. He’s different, we don’t know where he was born. Just ask Donald Trump. Where’s the birth certificate?”

Prior to his being sworn in, these “gentlemen” held a meeting, plotting his demise. Sen. Mitch McConnell stated that he will see that President Obama is a one-term president. Could he pass any bills with this type of obstruction? At the same time, they were “shouting” Where are the jobs? So, they said, “Let’s try not to pass any bills, except, against women’s rights, and he will get the blame.”

President Obama consulted many economists regarding the stimulus to get out of the mess he inherited. Immediately, the GOP slammed this idea, saying it won’t work and use our trickle-down theory. (It didn’t work before, and it will not work again.) The problem with the stimulus, it was not large enough. We needed additional revenue. A former lobbyist, Grover Norquist, procured “pledges” from GOP members to never raise revenue or taxes. He convinced them that these were “nasty” words. He said, “When we select our next president, all he has to do is hold a pen, and sign what we tell him to sign.” Sound OK, Mitt Romney?

Elections, from now on will be bought and paid for, thanks to our Supreme Court that ruled a business is a person. Money from super-PACs is unlimited. Ask Karl Rove. Is this democracy?

Those who voted for Obama should think carefully, if you are changing your vote. Could anyone do any better in the next four years? I think not. By the way, big corporations and Wall Street have made huge profits like never before under this president. Hopefully, they don’t cause another recession.

Actually, President Obama should take his lovely family back to Chicago. We don’t deserve them.
