CAPE VINCENT MetalCraft Marine Inc. is looking to hire an additional eight to 10 workers at its U.S. boat shop.
The Kingston, Ontario, custom aluminum boat manufacturer is asking those interested in boat building to bring their resumes to its Cape Vincent shop, 583 E. Broadway, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. July 10.
For existing workers, MetalCraft recently partnered with the New Zealand Marine Industry Training Organization to offer a five-year, alloy-boat-building apprenticeship program, initially for 12 employees but more as capacity allows.
MetalCraft at the end of May was awarded with a $10 million federal contract for high-speed patrol boats to be deployed from U.S. Coast Guard national security cutters.
For more information about the positions, contact MetalCraft via email at hr@metalcraftmarine.com.
