The Jefferson County Historical Society continues to make improvements to all of its exhibits following its recent fundraising drive.

More than $30,000 was raised through the "Historical Society 500" campaign sponsored by the Watertown Daily Times.

Milton E. Stroup, Cape Vincent on Thursday could be seen filing the edge of a replica table while fixing its legs in a cabin on the Society's grounds on Washington Street in Watertown. The cabin came from a homestead near Mr. Stroup’s home in Cape Vincent.
