Thompson Park is a great place to escape the summer heat to just relax, have a picnic, take a dip in the pool or visit the zoo. And rerouting a Watertown CitiBus on Saturdays will make it easier for some residents to enjoy what the park has to offer for a day.
During the summer, CitiBus officials are discontinuing service along Washington Street to medical offices on the city limits on Saturdays, when there is less likely to be a need for transportation in that area. Buses will take riders to the park with a half-dozen scheduled stops at West Tower Drive adjacent to the playground area and the pavilion from mid-morning through late afternoon.
Bus riders can pack a lunch, and cyclists can mount their bikes on the front of the bus. So, take advantage of this great service for some summer fun at the park.
