GREAT BEND The Carthage Central School District was selected to receive a $1,755,000 Military-Connected Local Educational Agencies for Academic and Support Programs competitive grant.
This grant will support the C-STEM Project, a three-year professional development partnership with Clarkson University, Potsdam, said Marilyn Bish, district director of grants and projects.
STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The middle school and high school courses will focus on preparing STEM-interested students for college and careers.
